DEPOSIT POLICY
What securing your appointment costs, why we require it, and what to expect before you sit in the chair.
1. How Deposits Work
Getting booked for an appointment, or starting any design work, requires a deposit. This amount secures your time slot and your artist's schedule, and it's credited directly toward the total cost of your tattoo — it's never an additional charge on top.
2. Custom Tattoo Session Deposits
For custom work, your deposit amount comes down to how long your session runs — and that length is set during your free consultation based on the size, placement, and complexity of your design.
| Session Length | Deposit |
|---|---|
| 1 Hour | $50 |
| 2 Hours | $100 |
| 3 Hours | $100 |
| 4 Hours | $200 |
| 5 Hours | $200 |
Every deposit is applied toward your final tattoo cost, and it doesn't change if your design's scope does.
3. Flash Deal Deposits
Our standing Flash Deals — Killer Wednesdays, Flash Willy-Nilly, the Thursday Flash Deal, Anything for $100, and Twin-Ink Tuesday — each require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due at your session.
Flash Deals are fixed-price with no design alterations — the design you pick or draw is the one you get. Want changes made? That turns your booking into a custom tattoo, priced and handled under our custom session policy instead.
4. Guest Artist Deposits
Guest artists travel from out of state or overseas for a limited residency, and their booking window works differently from a standard session. Once you're approved off the waitlist and given access to book, a flat $500 non-refundable deposit — applied toward your final price — is due at the time of booking, within 7 days of being contacted with available dates.
Missed the window but still want in? Reach out to Killer Silver Tattoo directly — there may be room to fit you in. Otherwise, your spot rolls over to the waitlist for that artist's next visit.
5. Touch-Up Sessions
Need a minor touch-up on a tattoo completed within the past month? The touch-up itself is free — book directly or reach out and we'll get you scheduled.
Our artists don't charge for the time, but a small tip toward the setup is always appreciated — not for the work itself, just a nice way to say thanks.
6. Cancellation & Rescheduling
Life happens — but if you need to cancel or reschedule, we require a minimum of 72 hours' notice before your appointment. Changes made inside that window forfeit the deposit.
Deposits must also be used within 90 days of booking, and you may reschedule up to 3 times within that window. If your appointment isn't completed within 90 days, or you need a 4th reschedule, the appointment is cancelled and the deposit is kept as a setup fee — it isn't applied to any future visit.
7. Non-Refundable Policy
Once an appointment is confirmed, your deposit is locked in — it can't be returned, transferred to a different reason for visiting, or applied toward a different design once work has begun.
8. Balance & Payment
For custom tattoos, your final total reflects the finished design's size and complexity. Your deposit — fixed at booking — is credited toward that total; the remaining balance is due in full at the end of your session. Cash payments have no added fees; card and other electronic payments include a merchant processing fee on top of the balance.
9. Design Ownership
Final tattoo designs created by our artists remain the property of Killer Silver Tattoo Studio. They are never released to clients — not physically, not digitally — at any point before, during, or after your session.
