Tattoo Ink. What? No U.S. Regulation?

Back around 2012-2013, Caesar started looking seriously at manufacturing his own gray-wash ink. The first jaw-dropping discovery: no regulatory body in the U.S. - not the FDA, not the USDA - actually oversees what goes into tattoo ink, or tattoo supplies in general. That hasn't meaningfully changed since.

The closest thing to a real standard comes out of Germany: REACH certification - Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation, and Restriction of Chemicals - a strict EU framework that outright bans specific hazardous pigments, preservatives, and binders.

As a responsible human being first, and an artist second, Caesar needed a clear conscience that his formula wouldn't cause anyone short- or long-term harm. So he flew to Germany and had Se7en Deadly Shades tested against that standard. Killer Silver Ink earned its REACH certification from CTL in October 2013 - proactive verification, before anyone could ever get hurt. The U.S. system runs the other way: reactive, stepping in only after a complaint's already been filed.

Initial Contact
Whether you walk in or call, you'll be directed to use the appointment form right here on this page - attach a reference image and tell us what's on your mind. We'll follow up to figure out the right next step for your piece.

Consultation
Free, and usually 15-20 minutes (max 30). Its only job is figuring out how many hours - how long a session - your tattoo needs. Already know what you want? Skip straight to booking a tattoo session instead.

Tattoo Session Booking
A deposit secures your tattoo session date and artist, and goes toward your final tattoo cost. Full terms in the Deposit & Cancellation Policy below.

Day-Of
NO ID, NO TATTOO - no exceptions. Your session opens with finalizing the design - choose from a few sizes with matching prices to fit your budget. The first round of alterations is free; additional changes cost extra, so know what you want going in. Once it's locked, complete the Release Form via the in-studio QR code, then we begin with our zero-carcinogen certified ink.

Deposit & Cancellation Policy

Deposit Amount
Depends on how long your tattoo session is booked for: $50 for 1 hour, $100 for 2 or 3 hours, $200 for 4 or 5 hours. Applied toward your final tattoo cost.
Flash Deal Deposit
All Flash Deals require a 50% non-refundable deposit, applied toward the total. The balance is due at the session.
Cancellation Window
72 hours notice minimum. Rescheduling inside this window forfeits the deposit.
Refund Status
Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstance once the appointment is confirmed.
Design Ownership
Custom designs remain the studio's property and are never released - not physically, not digitally, at any point.
